The Fall Of Victoria

A terrifying silence fell over the massive white foyer as the clear video footage played out on the glowing digital screen. David's eyes fixed on the display, watching his wife commit a monstrous act against his only child. A wave of overwhelming heat washed over his face, turning his jaw tight and hard as heavy fury took over his entire body.

David: You monster!

David lunged forward with sudden, raw fury, his voice echoing off the high ceilings like thunder. The two Dallas police officers moved in instantly, stepping around David to surround the trembling woman in the white dress.

Victoria: David, please! It was a mistake! I was stressed about the prenup negotiations! I didn't mean to shove him so hard!

Police Officer: Ma'am, place your hands behind your back right now. Do not make any sudden movements.

Victoria: Do not lay a finger on me! Do you know who my father is? My family owns half the real estate developments in this city! You can't touch me!

The lead officer grabbed Victoria's thin arms, twisting them firmly behind her back. The sharp metallic click of steel handcuffs snapped tightly onto her wrists, locking her hands together over the smooth fabric of her designer dress. Victoria gasped in absolute shock as the cold metal pinched her skin, her arrogant composure completely shattering into pieces right in front of everyone present.

David: You are leaving this house in handcuffs for life!

Victoria: David! Tell them to take these off me! We can handle this quietly through our lawyers! Think about the media fallout for your company!

David: My company means nothing compared to my son's safety. You will never set foot inside this house again, and my lawyers will make sure you rot in a state prison cell for attempted murder and child endangerment!

Maria slowly helped Leo stand up, wrapping a warm knit blanket around the boy's shivering shoulders as the officers began forcing Victoria toward the double front doors. The blonde woman pulled back desperately against the officers' strong grip, her expensive shoes dragging awkwardly across the polished white floor she had tried so hard to steal.

Victoria: You can't do this to me! Maria lied! The camera angle was misleading!

Police Officer: Keep walking, ma'am. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

As Victoria was pulled out into the bright afternoon sunlight toward the waiting police cruiser, David dropped down to his knees on the hard floor, pulling little Leo tightly into his arms. The powerful CEO began to cry, resting his forehead against his young son's neck, holding him as if he would never let him go again.

David: I am so sorry, Leo. Daddy was so blind. I promise you I will protect you forever.

Leo: It's okay, Daddy. Maria saved me.
